Bodywork

Traditional Thai Massage (Nuad Boran)

First developed nearly 2,500 years ago, Thai Massage is an amazing synthesis of many different massage techniques including acupressure, rhythmic rocking, compression, the dynamic alignment and stretching postures of Hatha Yoga, and the spiritual principles of centeredness and compassion. It brings peace and calm to the mind, tones muscles, improves flexibility, and balances the body’s energy. 90- or 120-minute sessions only.

Hawaiian Temple Lomi Lomi (Lomi Lomi Nui)

Known as “The Great Lomi” or “Great Massage” this ancient massage ritual is considered the most healing of all the Hawaiian styles of massage and originated with the Hawaiian Shaman (“Kahuna”). It blends long full-body forearm strokes with joint manipulation to open the bodymind at the deepest levels. Best suited for those seeking deep emotional release along with a desire to fully open to the healing process. 90- or 120-minute sessions only.

Hawaiian Heartworks Lomi Lomi

Imagine yourself lying down at the water’s edge of a Hawaiian beach, the warm waves rolling up and lapping over your body before returning to the sea. Heartworks Lomi Lomi is much like this with long full-body strokes that flow from toe to head and back again. Profoundly peaceful and relaxing. 90- or 120 minute session recommended.

Energy Healing

Energy Healing is based on the idea that all living things have within them an invisible but powerful flow of energy known as Chi or Prana that supports the health of the organism. When the flow of this energy is disrupted, illness or disease eventually develops. Using light touch and focused intention I can help rebalance your energy flow. Deeply relaxing and calming. Blended with other therapies or as a standalone 60- or 90-minute session.

Deep Tissue Bodywork

If you have very tight regions in your body due to stress, work, injuries, sports, or scar tissue, you need deep tissue therapy. The work I offer combines indirect and direct myofascial release, compression, trigger point, PNF stretching, joint mobilization, and energy healing techniques to unwind and release bound connective tissue. The outcome is a sense of freedom and lightness in the body, as if your body is breathing a huge sigh of relief.

Wellness Massage

This is my own eclectic style of bodywork which combines elements of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Bodywork, Sports Massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Thai Massage, and Energy Healing, on an “as needed” basis, to facilitate a general overall sense of improved health and well-being in the body-mind. If you are looking for a wonderful all-over relaxation massage, this is the therapy for you! 90- or 120-minute session recommended.

I offer a variety of healing therapies that integrate together well and address the needs of virtually every person. Please scroll through the entries below and find which services speak to your situation. If you have any questions, please ask me!

My fees are very simple and are based on the length of the session, not the particular service you choose, as I believe you are paying for my time and expertise. I also give you the full amount of time listed (eg 60, 90, 120 minutes) not 10 minutes less as is common in many spas and clinic settings. I allow approximately 15 minutes extra per session (at no charge) to allow for you to talk with me, undress/dress, make payment, etc.

For your initial appointment I strongly recommend a 90- or 120-minute session so I can become familiar with your body. You can save time on your first appointment by downloading and completing my Client Intake Form ahead of time.

I take appointments Tuesday through Sunday, subject to my yoga and workshop teaching schedule. I strongly encourage you to book ahead, rather than call on the day.
